ET Easter Egg

Posted by EasyRider

An EasterEgg in Enemy Territory has been discovered. It's the hidden sound of a morse code. If you transcribe it, it says "SPLASHDAMAGE ROCKS YOUR SOCKS RK".

The morse code looks like that:
... .--. .-.. .- ... .... -.. .- -- .- --. . / .-. --- -.-. -.- ... / -.-- --- ..- .-. / ... --- -.-. -.- ... / .-. -.-

I didn't try that yet. If you're excited, you can find more information at the original Splash Damage Forumpost.

Posted by EasyRider

Yeah, you didn't hear wrong. Probably there's the Final Release of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory in the following week. Best you read Activision's note:
We wanted to update everyone on Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory progress. Thanks to dedicated gamers and testers, we've been working on fixing bugs and other issues that have been uncovered in the recently released map test. We've also been following feedback in the community to help us address any balance issues. We're in the final phases of testing and tweaking and hope to be ready to release the full, free, stand-alone game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory early next week.

AR Tray Spy

AR Tray Spy is a small tool to help you monitor and optionally administer your favorite Game servers. Each server get's it's own spot in the windows System tray where you'll get instant feedback on the number of users on the server, with the ability to immmediately jump into the game with a single mouse click.

I'm guessing it will support ET soon but at the moment it supports RtCW and many other q3 engine games plus more.

So go pay them a visit and check out the program. As it's a lot like All-Seeing Eye. Go here for the latest version to download.

PunkBuster Update For ET Test

Posted by 0w3n

EvenBalance.com have released PB Server v1.033 and PB Client v1.030 for the Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory Test. Auto-update should kick in, but if for some reason you need to manually update you can find the files in the EB Dload Section.

Note that the easiest way to update PunkBuster manually is by use of PBWeb, simply save the file to your "pb" folder, run it from the same folder and it will automatically update your files.

On xfire.be there is a good link to an ET quick guide for dummies. I haven't read the whole guide yet, but it looks really promising. If you know RtCW and want to play ET this will propably answer a lot of your questions.

Among other things you can read about the new HUD, some basic scripting and the most essential differences to RtCW.

You can find the whole guide here

This patch fixes a crash bug issue that was discovered yesterday. This is a SERVER ONLY patch. You DO NOT need this patch unless you are hosting a server. Both Linux and Windows files are included.

The patch can be found here.

Very simple install - just extract the ZIP file into your wolftactics install folder and let it overwrite the two files. Done!

In this little Guide you will find all the weapons of Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory and a value for the damage that inflict on the health-points of another Player. Scroll down, and there you will find an exra section about the explosives and other weapons that can be used in the game.

Go here to read the whole article.
