It was inevitable that someone would think of trying to do an Indiana Jones
Hummer, who used to map for RTCW, has started a project that looks extremely promising and has put together a team of mappers. It is called "Indiana Jones In Enemy Territory" and if the maps are put together with the same quality as their website then we are in for something special.
Bridge maps seem to be extremely popular with ET map makers. BXpress posted
some screencaps of his upcoming map called "Remagen" in the Splash Damage
This map is based on a real bridge and BXpress is using historical photographs to make sure his map is authentic. When you first see the bridge you think it is very odd looking until you see the photos it is based upon. Hard to believe this bridge existed.
Although we don't normally post news for clans, OsirinRa sent us word of a guild he is starting up and asked in such a nice fashion we could not refuse. Here is his own words:
"Remember guilds from Quakeworld Teamfortress? In TF they have "guilds" not unlike clans but not as involved. They are class based and the one I was in for a long time was MD the premiere medic guild.
I am starting the MD guild back up for us medically obsessed players, to share strats, chit chat, and maybe even skirmish against other guilds. (if they come up!)
It was an AWESOME way to meet cool people and get involved with the comunity, the ET community reminds me so much of the old school TF community. Also help refine our combat skills by 1on1's and small battles."

"This map is a conversion from a Return to Castle Wolfenstein map I had made. You must understand by conversion that it mainly has all the RTCW features it has and no really ET-specific ones like contructible stuff and mines. I made this because the map came out at a wrong moment on RTCW, and didn't even get onto a server... I'm giving this map a second chance on ET"

Another new map for ET was released today called "Rhine Bridge". Things are really starting to heat up in the mapping community.I really wish I could post some screenshots here because the map looks great. I have not had a chance to play it yet but people are raving about it in the Splash Damage forums. Visit the link above to download it, view screenshots, and find servers that are playing it.
ET has been out for a few months and we are curious to see what is your favorite map after having played the same 6 maps over and over and over again. Vote for your map in the Surveys section. Our last poll asked the question "Is Enemy Territory finished as it is?" and 69.75 % of our visitors thought "No, there'll need to be additional maps".
"I've been working on this small map here to get used to the new features in ET. It's a small map for 2v2 up to maybe 4v4, the game is more like ctf than misson and is meant as a "silly" map, for warmups before clan matches etc but its's a tense map with lots of up close action"
You can read the whole thread, view screenshots, and download the map in the Splash Damage forums.
"Activision sends along word that a map editor for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory will be released tomorrow, though when exactly and what kind of documentation will be included is not known"Read it for yourself at ShackNews.
